Roberto Collina is an icon of Made in Italy knitwear: a family-owned brand founded in 1953, based in Bologna and internationally recognized for the artisanal quality of its garments made from fine yarns such as cashmere, mohair, alpaca, and silk.
OVERVIEW
Originally founded as a family-run artisanal workshop, over time it has established itself internationally thanks to highly specialized in-house production and the use of premium yarns.
The project focused on designing and developing the official digital platform, aiming to translate the brand’s heritage value online, strengthen its contemporary positioning, and create an e-commerce experience aligned with the quality of its products.

Design
Functionality
The main challenge was to transform an identity deeply rooted in Italian manufacturing tradition into a digital ecosystem capable of conveying the same care, precision, and aesthetic sensitivity.
The website needed to go beyond a simple commercial function and become a narrative space where product, collection, and brand could interact coherently. It was essential to find a balance between editorial elegance and e-commerce performance, while maintaining an interface that was minimal yet highly functional.

Within this framework, the design enhances the digital experience by balancing aesthetics and functionality. Clean, spacious layouts, refined typography, and high-quality imagery showcase each garment, while consistent interactions and intuitive flows guide the user naturally, reinforcing the brand’s premium, artisanal identity.

Technology
The e-commerce platform developed for Roberto Collina is built on a scalable, modular architecture designed to ensure high performance and long-term flexibility.
We implemented an optimized front-end structure with fast page loading, advanced product variant management and caching systems to enhance overall speed. Integration with analytics and tracking tools enables continuous monitoring of performance and conversions.
The CMS allows autonomous management of collections, editorial content and campaigns.

Performance
The digital project for Roberto Collina integrates a full marketing ecosystem, connecting the e-commerce platform with performance and automation tools. Advanced tracking via Google Tag Manager and Meta Pixel monitors sales funnels, conversions, and micro-events.
Email campaigns and CRM workflows run through Klaviyo, while Google Analytics 4 and Hotjar provide insights for UX optimization.

The architecture supports A/B testing, dynamic content personalization, and advanced audience segmentation. Technical SEO, Core Web Vitals optimization, and CRO strategies complete a data-driven, end-to-end approach focused on performance, engagement, and customer retention.
