1. Heritage meets innovation
The great historic brands have chosen the harder path: reinventing themselves without betraying their identity.
Max Mara is redefining the concept of soft luxury with a “phygital” approach: over 300 boutiques in China integrated with platforms like WeChat and Xiaohongshu, blending physical retail and digital experiences into a single ecosystem.
Barbour turns tradition into hype: collaborations with Gucci, Alexa Chung and Ganni made its vintage waxed jackets go viral on TikTok, driving +20% YoY revenue growth.
Woolrich is targeting global expansion through its agreement with Baoxiniao Holding and streetwear capsules designed to reach a younger audience, while keeping its premium heritage intact.
2. The rise of community-first brands
Some brands don't sell products, they sell identity. Emerging names that built incredibly strong communities before even thinking about distribution.
Fivefourfive has turned 540K followers into a hype machine: monthly capsules selling out in hours, over $6.1 million in revenue and projected growth of +40% in 2025.
Springa doesn't make sneakers, it builds unique stories: upcycled materials, artisanal techniques and limited drops that create instant desirability.
Puraai, a Japanese brand, carries forward a radical philosophy: 100% vegan sneakers, PETA certified, with a clear positioning and an increasingly solid eco-conscious community.
3. Outsiders and new rules from Pitti Uomo
Change is also coming from the outsiders: emerging talents already redefining the boundaries between fashion, art and technology.
Post Archive Faction (PAF) → radical South Korean design, extreme functionality and textile experimentation.
Children of the Discordance → layering, upcycling and street influences for a visual narrative that's winning over the resale market.
Niccolò Pasqualetti → a sculptural approach and organic tailoring, a name Vogue Italia has already flagged as one to watch.
4. What these 11 brands teach us
FW26 tells the story of a new balance:
uniqueness as a strategic lever.
community as a growth engine.
digital as a space for experimentation.
It's no longer time to follow trends: the brands that are winning create them.
